Hilarious and touching comedy Rotterdam at Ilfracombe's The Landmark Theatre breaks the mould.

You will laugh and cry along in this hilarious and touching comedy that we cannot recommend enough!

We were fortunate enough to be at The Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe yesterday for the opening evening of Rotterdam. The description doesn’t do this amazing production justice as there is no way to put the performance into words, even after you have experienced it. The performers made us feel so involved with the plot that we laughed and cried along.

The play explores sexuality and gender identity, and with a perfect balance of humour and seriousness, you never feel uncomfortable about the controversial topics the performance is centred upon.

Based in Rotterdam, it’s New Year, and Alice has finally plucked up the courage to email her parents and tell them she’s gay. But before she can hit send, her girlfriend Fiona reveals that he has always identified as a man and now wants to start living as one named Adrian.
As Adrian begins his transition, Alice must face a question she never thought she’d ask… does this mean she’s straight?

A massive congratulations to the cast for their inspiring show, all the time and effort they have put into rehearsing this performance, it has definitely payed off! Also, a thank you and well done to all behind the scenes crew as always for their amazing job and anyone else involved in making this show happen.

Tickets are still available for tonight or tomorrow night's showing here http://bit.ly/RotterdamLan or ring the box office on 01271 316523
