Ella Hickson’s version of J.M. Barrie’s much-loved story puts the character of Wendy firmly centre stage, in an adaptation that is refreshingly modern but never loses the charm of the original.
The Darling family are consumed with grief and Wendy, convinced that her “lost brother” is in Neverland, flies off with Peter Pan on an awfully big adventure. Peter proves unable to protect Wendy from her rivals Tink and Tiger Lily but the three girls overcome their differences to eventually bond, defeat Captain Hook and discover what it means to grow up.
